What doesn't need to be in my CV?

You have limited space so it is important to make the most of it, so you do not need to include;

  • A photo - it takes up too much space that would be better used for selling yourself, however other countries or specific roles might require a photo.
  • A personal profile statement - this is not necessary for a graduate CV.
  • No unnecessary information - like 'Curriculum Vitae', your gender, age or date of birth.
  • Achievements from more than 3 years ago - unless they are particularly exceptional or highly relevant to the job/ employer.
